MOHWA GLOBAL DALLAS : A Call to Unity and Growth

Established in December 2025, the Dallas chapter of MOHWA is a small but vibrant group with six dedicated members. Despite our size, we show resilience and a strong spirit, although attracting new members has been challenging in the current environment. Many potential members in the DFW Metroplex are connected to our sister organization, which makes growth a priority.

We are proud to share that Ma Bessem Ekukaju and Ma Michelle Obale attended the launch of the MOHWA-Houston chapter, where they provided financial support to help establish this new chapter. Additionally, Ma Bessem Ekukanju represented our Dallas chapter at the USA Global Convention in August 2025, following the Houston event in May 2025.

Over the past year, we faced major challenges, including the health struggles of one of our beloved members, Ma Martha Makia, affectionately known as our "queen mother." She faced personal health issues and the loss of family, including two sisters and a niece. In the spirit of sisterhood, we visited her to share a meal, lift her spirits, and reinforce the unity that defines our organization.

Recently, President Ma Eirine Oben stepped down due to family obligations, and Michelle Obale graciously took on the role of Dallas chapter president at the start of 2026. We are excited about the new vision and direction she brings.

We meet every third Sunday of the month, often at local restaurants, where we enjoy good food and fellowship. These gatherings are essential for discussing our plans to expand our reach and impact within the community. Our goal is to incorporate as a 501(c)(3) organization, which would allow us to engage in various community activities and show our commitment as valuable members of the local community.

We are actively seeking new members and invite anyone interested in joining our cause to reach out. We especially encourage members from other chapters to connect us with potential members in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Your support and prayers are vital as we work to grow and strengthen our organization.
